It’s official, Solent Netball Club, are the Southampton Netball Associations Division 1 Winners 2018! After a hard fought season and a tremendous squad effort the girls came out victorious, winning with a 7 point lead. Winning 11 out of 14 games.

Solent hit the ground running winning there first 5 games. After a close loss to JHC they dusted themselves off and got back onto the winning spree. Another close loss later in the season to Fleming and then Central Park saw the girls really dig in and work together to maintain winning form through to the end of the season.

Coach Chris Grimes said “this season has been a real squad effort, taking some time to settle in the first half of the season was vital with new players to the club and younger player coming up. As soon as we settled we lost a key player in our defence Stacey Grimes to injury. The whole squad had to really pull together to ensure we kept momentum going. With youngster Erin Lovely making her debut and really holding her own over in Southampton against some really talented netball players. – Im very proud of what we’ve achieved as a team and looking forward to next season.”

The win mean’s promotion for the team and will place them into the SNA’s Premier division for the 2019/20 season.
